Dear Reader I am writing with heartfelt appreciation to convey my deepest gratitude for the invaluable guidance and  unwavering support provided by Maheswari Ma'am throughout my college journey. Our initial acquaintance transpired during the Internet of Things course, a subject that initially seemed perplexing to me.  However, Maheswari Ma'am's remarkable ability to dissect intricate concepts into digestible segments not only rendered the material more accessible but also sparked a genuine interest in the subject .  During this period, she fervently encouraged our commitment to the COVID-19 Twitter Sentiment Analysis Dashboard project, culminating in its noteworthy publication as a Book Chapter in esteemed publications, collaboratively with the prestigious National University of Singapore. Additionally, the privilege of collaborating closely with her on my final year project was truly transformative.  Throughout this endeavor, she consistently motivated me to deliver nothi

Hello Reader’s I am Sannidhya Mate pursuing my B.Tech from VIT Chennai. I am currently in 6th semester on the cusp of entering into my final year.  My first meeting with Maheswari Mam was during 1st semester as she was my proctor.  So, I remember when our first semester started, we were in Online mode. So, she had taken a G-meet to get in touch with all her proctees. It was an introduction session and basic overview of how our next 4 years will go. She also assured us of any help we needed during these 4 years.  Who knew that, that one assurance would be a bright ray of hope for me going forward. Things were going average for me as far as my academics were concerned considering I had my own share of backlogs.  Then in my 3rd semester I had a few serious health issues due to which I had to go back home for 2 months and I had to skip my semester 3 exams.  Maheswari Mam was on leave the day I was going to leave for home but she talked to my parents over video call and understanding my s

Dear Learners From the very first day, I met Maheswari ma'am, it was evident that she embodies the qualities of an effective teacher.  She demonstrates a profound understanding of students' diverse learning styles and opinions, treating each individual with unwavering respect and equality.  She goes beyond traditional teaching methods, actively adapting her approach to accommodate the unique needs of every student , as I have personally witnessed- “You don't enjoy doing assignments”? “No problem, feel free to submit your own write-up”. "Prefer a different grading method”? "Sure, you can work on a new project to earn your grades”. Her approachability is unmatched, as she pays close attention to students' needs and fosters a personal connection with each one.  She values students' contributions and perspectives, laying the groundwork for a positive teacher-student relationship based on mutual respect and understanding.  Her impact transcends the physical

A Testament to Excellence, Mentorship, and Inspiration Dear Reader  It is with great admiration that I reflect on my time under the guidance of Maheswari mam during my 3rd semester.  She is a beacon of inspiration, whose unwavering dedication and passion for teaching ignited a fire within me to excel.  Maheswari mam's expertise in computer architecture and organization made learning effortless , and her willingness to clarify doubts during late-hour shifts in her cabin demonstrated her unparalleled commitment to her students. My collaboration with Maheswari mam as a university teaching assistant for Operating Systems was truly enlightening.  Together, we strived to simplify complex concepts and problem-solving techniques for our juniors, fostering an environment of learning and growth.  Her humility and patience were not just admirable but also instrumental in shaping my career and achieving my milestones. Dhruv Gupta@ A transformational journey with Backlogs to High CGPA

Dear Reader's My name is Dhruv Gupta, and I have been grappling with bipolar disorder since 2018.  The diagnosis came to light in 2021, marking a significant turning point in my life.  Reflecting on my journey, it's evident how pivotal moments unfolded during my academic pursuits, particularly at VIT Chennai College. My high school years were obscured by a temporary sadness that seemed to lift when I entered college in 2020.  However the 2021 disclosure of my bipolar condition presented some unanticipated difficulties. I lost badly in the third semester, failing every test and racking up backlogs in 10 different subjects. After that, I was so overcome with despair that I was on the verge of giving up. Reading and writing seemed like an overwhelming task. After spending months alone and cooped up in a room, the introduction of medications brought a glimmer of optimism. With timid steps, I returned to college for the fourth semester, albeit surrounded by uncertainty. Balancing

Dear Reader's Having navigated through a challenging period of academic setbacks during my undergraduate journey, I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support and proactive assistance provided by my Head of Department (HOD) Dr. Maheswari.R . Their dedication to my academic success went above and beyond, making a profound difference in my ability to overcome obstacles and thrive. I was pursuing B.Tech CSE with a specialization in CPS in the VIT Chennai 2019-2023 batch.  After the pandemic while I entered the campus for my third year with a handful of backlogs also unregistered credits to complete my degree. Even my parents had a doubt on me whether I will gain the degree or not, t hen the HOD was changed which is my ‘Guardian Angel’ Dr.Maheswari maam , after a meeting with her on my academic on how to complete all the backlogs, I was completely changed, she gave me hope that I will complete the degree on time.  Then I fully fledged focused on my academics and registered as muc

Maheswari maam taught me the course computer architecture and organisation. I really enjoyed the course. I can still remember the topics like Flynn’s taxonomy etc. Maam taught that well. I could never forget the topics she taught. That really helped me out in my future courses as well, like operating systems etc.  Apart from classroom academics maam also went so much beyond that. She also encouraged us in making open source contributions like esim etc. All her assignments and the tasks she gave were so innovative and creative.  Along side academics she becomes more like a friend to the student and talks and supports more personally. I share all my personal situations and achievements with her on a regular basis even though it has been more than 5 years since she taught me.  I am really thankful as Maheswari had a really great impact on my college life and thereby my career.

Dear Reader's A few people don't just excel in their profession, they become a leading example.  Dr. R. Maheswari whom we call Maheswari Ma'am is one such compassionate professor.   Ma'am makes you comfortable and confident about the tasks ahead.  The way Ma'am empathizes and allows freedom in decision-making for the students makes her truly a role model.  I got an opportunity to work with her while making a mobile application for the alumni chapter. My team was not very confident yet we wanted to contribute.  Maheswari Ma'am along with Balaji Sir and Jasmine Ma'am encouraged us and guided us in shaping the outcome of the application.  And Dear Ma'am,  I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey and would love to keep in touch for motivation and inspiration. Thank you very much for your compassion towards students.  Wish you all the best and may the force be with you in carving more students as successful leaders.

Dear Dr Maheswari R  Ma’am, I am writing this to express my heartfelt appreciation for your outstanding dedication and support for being my proctor at VIT Chennai.  Coming into my first semester in VIT, I was feeling very anxious about the transition from my school into a new life.  University life is a vital part of each and every individual because it is the time where we foster our skills for the rest of our lives. The encouragement that you gave me in your cabin during the initial stages of my University life filled me with confidence, energy and agility to face a new life. I don’t remember the semester, but I chose you as my faculty in FFCS for Operating Systems and Internet of Things subjects. Before taking OS, I heard from my seniors and friends saying that it is very complex to understand and to implement the OS concepts in the exams(especially topics such as mutex locks, deadlocks and memory allocations).  But the way you presented these topics in the class made me understand

Dear Reader's Maheswari ma’am has guided me for my first internship in college (FOSSE internship at IIT Bombay).  My work there was circuit designing and publishing them on their website. As the software was new, ma’am had spent a lot of time with me patiently, getting me familiarized with the interface.  Throughout my journey, ma’am connected with me regularly and helped me fix the huddles right from proposing the design to getting it published. Beyond helping me technically, she is a great motivator and because of that I was among 11 students who could complete the internship out of 45+ registrations. Ma’am was my pole star throughout my internship journey and till date, if I need any help she is there. I’m grateful for your immense support ma’am, thank you for being an amazing lovely guide to me!   Dear Reader’s During my pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from 2019 to 2023, Maheswari ma’am played a pivotal role as my proctor, overseeing my academic journey throughout my four years at the university.  My initial encounter with her in her office remains vivid in my memory. Transitioning to a new environment can be daunting, but her words of encouragement provided much-needed reassurance during those early days .  Maheswari mam was always open to hearing all your problems, both academic and personal.  Ma’am consistently demonstrated openness and empathy, attentively addressing both academic and personal concerns. Despite occasionally posing challenges, her unwavering support remained steadfast. One notable instance occurred during my first semester when a family emergency compelled me to miss an assessment in the Technical English subject, jeopardizing my overall grade.  Fearing failure, I reached out to Maheswari ma’am regarding re-registration

Dear Reader's " Life's journey begins with uncertainty, each step cloaked in fear of the unknown . Yet, along the path, angels appear – those who support, guide, and uplift us in our darkest moments . They are the unseen hands that lead us forward, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts before fading into the ether."  That one angel to me is Dr Maheswari R, finding someone like Dr. Maheswari R. is a true blessing.   As my professor in Digital Logic Design, she not only taught me the subject but also showed unwavering support and belief in my potential.  I'll never forget the time she caught me talking on the phone in her class. Instead of scolding me, she offered understanding and a chance to redeem myself , simply asking me to sit in the front row.  Little did I know, this small act of kindness would pave the way of scoring highest grade in that course. Dear Reader's By the time I re-entered offline college in July 2022, after missing a semester due to health issues, I had 27 credits worth of backlogs to my name.  I had nearly given up on studies. Maheswari ma'am who not only guided me through the completion of my courses on time but also supported me through my self-healing process. From being available around the clock to clarifying every doubt I had be it in her cabin or through calls or WhatsApp. Allocating 2 extra seats for an already filled slot of 70/70 students so that the students with backlogs could take another course, taking a repeat core course into her own hands and teaching it with utmost dedication and eloquence so that two students in their final semester could complete their degree on time are actions that speak volumes about her commitment to her students' success.  The struggles she went through to allocate a repeat course and many others are few of the memories I will vividly remember throughout my l
