Dear Dr Maheswari R  Ma’am,

I am writing this to express my heartfelt appreciation for your outstanding dedication and support for being my proctor at VIT Chennai. 


Coming into my first semester in VIT, I was feeling very anxious about the transition from my school into a new life. 


University life is a vital part of each and every individual because it is the time where we foster our skills for the rest of our lives.

The encouragement that you gave me in your cabin during the initial stages of my University life filled me with confidence, energy and agility to face a new life.

I don’t remember the semester, but I chose you as my faculty in FFCS for Operating Systems and Internet of Things subjects. Before taking OS, I heard from my seniors and friends saying that it is very complex to understand and to implement the OS concepts in the exams(especially topics such as mutex locks, deadlocks and memory allocations). 

But the way you presented these topics in the class made me understand these topics very easily and I was also easily able to solve complex questions and examples. 

Also, during the global pandemic, you took an IoT class in Microsoft Teams. IoT became my favorite subject because of your teaching.  

Writing the CAT and FAT exams for these subjects was very joyful and fulfilling. 

In your classes, you also made me to think out of the box for various concepts and to think critically for a problem statement. 

Finally Ma’am you made my Computer Science journey incredible in VIT Chennai and after graduating from college now I can adapt to different Computer Science technologies easily because of your training.

Dear Reader's I failed a total of 19 courses while I was pursuing bachelor’s in VIT from 2015 to ’19.  Maheswari ma’am was my proctor for the 4 years that I was at VIT . I still remember my first semester when I failed 4 out of 6 courses. It is mandated by the university that the proctors call the student's parents to discuss the results if the students fail courses.  Many professors would be angry at you and talk bad about you with your parents, but not Maheswari Ma’am. She was just disappointed that I’m wasting my talent and she told my father exactly the same. In fact she is so supportive she asked my parents not to scold me but to encourage me to concentrate on studies. Luckily I have supportive parents as well. She has the ability to see raw potential in a student and she encourages them to use it. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
