Having navigated through a challenging period of academic setbacks during my undergraduate journey, I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support and proactive assistance provided by my Head of Department (HOD) Dr. Maheswari.R.


Their dedication to my academic success went above and beyond, making a profound difference in my ability to overcome obstacles and thrive.


I was pursuing B.Tech CSE with a specialization in CPS in the VIT Chennai 2019-2023 batch. 


After the pandemic while I entered the campus for my third year with a handful of backlogs also unregistered credits to complete my degree.


Even my parents had a doubt on me whether I will gain the degree or not, then the HOD was changed which is my ‘Guardian Angel’ Dr.Maheswari maam, after a meeting with her on my academic on how to complete all the backlogs, I was completely changed, she gave me hope that I will complete the degree on time. 

Then I fully fledged focused on my academics and registered as much as possible credits each semester.

Every when and then if I had any problems and obstructions in Academics I annoyed her by sending texts and by calls, she was always on my back helping me with a solution by going through any extent that would be getting scoldings from Assistant Dean Academics, but she will be always help me even after facing such problems. 


She always helped me with the course registrations by allocating the courses that I have pending. 


Not only to me she gave hope for my parents, she also spoke with my parents gave hope to them also advised me on how my parents worries and motivated me.


After the results, completing all my credits while I become eligible for a degree I went to the campus with a sweet box to meet her in her cabin, her name board was not there, I immediately called her she did not respond, so I went to department secretary and asked about her she told that she got relieved from VIT and went to Symbiosis University, Pune as Director I was really shocked and surprised I never expected that and told the secretary that she was the one who did everything to get my degree and secretary told that that’s why she went to a bigger post through god’s blessings. 

I was really emotional that I couldn’t meet her express my gratitude also happy that she went to a higher position. 

Later she called me and I expressed my gratitude over phone call and was very emotional after that call. 

I literally cried in the campus realising that I finally got my degree after so much struggles and humiliation from friends and family, there were only two was there for me my mother and my Guardian Angel Dr.Maheswari maam.

    Your testimonial means a lot.

    I do remember the day you reached me in my cabin after my charge as HoD, we had some plans for completing all your pending credits.

    I have to make a special mention of your grandfather, who consistently worried and tracked me about your academics.

    Before and after every course registration, I always ran behind you to fill your gap with academics to register for maximum credits.

    In the end of the 7th semester, when I breathe out that all your credit issues were resolved, then came club credit pending.,

    Again that was a big challenge for me to address it and atlast we accomplished that as well.

    Your special mention about me keeping in balance with your mom is incredible, really tears rolled out after reading your testimonial that you went and searched me.

Dear Reader's I failed a total of 19 courses while I was pursuing bachelor’s in VIT from 2015 to ’19.  Maheswari ma’am was my proctor for the 4 years that I was at VIT .
