ABOUT MY FAVOURITE MAM IN COLLEGE   Dear Reader’s, I’m an MTech Integrated Software Engineering graduate in VIT from 2018 to 2023.   Maheswari Mam is my Digital Logic Microprocessor(DLM) faculty in the 3rd Semester. I faced difficulties on this course and failed in the First Assessment.  And to be honest, I’m a little bit of a slow learner. And then I asked mam why it’s difficult for me to read these topics.  Mam said, if you fix your mind that it’s an easy subject, then it’s very easy to read & write , and you can get good marks in your exam. Then I went to mam’s cabin and asked doubts. So, Mam said, Medha just go and sit in a free class or in the library, then just prepare yourself first and you won’t understand it at first glance and write in your note for 2 or 3 times, then if you didn’t understand, just come to my cabin I’ll teach you. This is what mam told me to do.  So, I did it twice, thrice and in the fourth time I understood a few things. A nd I went to Mam’s cabin, and

Dear Reader's Maheswari mam was my mentor for the  the  capstone project ,  who helped me a lot and was very cooperative throughout the  project.  At that time, I was very concerned about developing a good project and was very doubtful about whether does it work or not.  She was the one who gave her input on how to properly set the goals and objectives to accomplish the project within time by including innovative things in the project.  I would wholeheartedly believe that, without her help, I might end up doing the p roject that was already done by somebody and readily available on the source.                    We all know that, during our campus placements, most of the interviewers will definitely ask about the capstone project, which you did in the final year. The novel things, which I have included in the project helped me a lot while explaining my project to the interviewer, and of course, it did give a good impression. Also, I was very weak in communicating with others thr

Hello everyone I commenced my professional journey at VIT, where I had the privilege of meeting Maheswari Ma'am on my very first day.  Since then, she has consistently been a reliable source of support for me, offering assistance in both personal and educational matters whenever needed.  Obtaining her approval was always a smooth process without significant challenges. In addition to being a valuable proctor and teacher, Maheswari Ma'am served as my club mentor.   Together, we collaborated to ensure the optimal growth and success of the club, reaching its maximum potential. In summary, Maheswari Ma'am possesses exceptional knowledge and exhibits exemplary behavior, making her an invaluable mentor for any student. Shivansh Goyal (2015-2019) VIT  Analyst Developer

Dear Reader's Maheswari mam is good role model for me .  When I entered my engineering career as a lateral entry student, I faced a lot of problems and even decided to quit my studies.  I remember those days she advised me " Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones you'll start having positive results ".  She helped me to make new friends and to clear my doubts. This helped me to increase my speed with my studies. I did my master's degree at Anna University with her guidance and support.  She is not only a teacher but well-wisher of all the students. In addition to academics, she gave lots of advice to manage the balance between marriage life and social life. Her guidance , motivation and kindness are stepping stones of my life.  I appreciate the role she played in sharpening my academic journey. R.Shanthi  (2002-2005) Sri Sai Ram Engineering College

A journey from having 3 backs to bagging an internship I was pursuing B.Tech from VIT Chennai and Maheswari mam was my HOD during the year 2022-23. By the time, she became my HOD, I already had 3 back papers.  So, one morning, I received a text from mam that I have to go and meet her in the office. I was scared yet curious as the text never mentioned the reason I was called.  Well, the moment I entered her office, a warm smile welcomed me.  She and I started to talk about my family, about me, my interest and then she started to talk about my academia. In the beginning, I was hesitant to tell her anything but she comforted me well to talk it all out. I thought, she might scold me but to my surprise, she carved a very positive image in my mind out of the dark academic life of mine. I felt belonged and heard that day. Later in the months, I had a knee fracture and VIT is pretty strict when it comes to attendance. She was the first person who popped in my mind who can come up with a solu

Dear Readers!! My VIT Journey: A Transformative Adventure Reflecting on my time at VIT, I can't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude. The campus, with its academic vigor, cutting-edge facilities, and lively atmosphere, became the backdrop for my growth and education. VIT's unwavering commitment to excellence has not only broadened my horizons but has also played a pivotal role in my professional and personal development. Meeting Maheshwari Ma'am: A Turning Point The first time I met Maheshwari ma'am , I felt an immediate sense of blessing. Her energy and motivation are contagious.  She brought together a group of blockchain enthusiasts, forming a space where we could communicate and share our research work . Being a part of this dynamic team was invigorating. However, life has its ups and downs. In my last semester, just before placement, a friend and I faced a setback. We failed in the soft skills assessment, and I was devastated. I remember crying and feeling

My journey with Maheswari Mam as my C programming professor began in 2011 at VIT university. During the mid-term, I found myself struggling with programming, scoring single digits in semester internals and even stepping out of the programming lab due to a lack of understanding in problem-solving. It was during this challenging period that Maheswari Mam played a pivotal role. She took the time to explain the intricacies of programming, starting from the basics .  What was once a daunting subject became enjoyable under her guidance. Thanks to her efforts, I not only regained my confidence but also excelled, scoring over 90% in the final semester examination. Maheswari Mam provided unwavering mental support during my low phase, helping me navigate the complexities of learning programming efficiently. Despite the fast-paced syllabus, s he went above and beyond, dedicating 4-5 hours for several months to teach me from scratch.   Her guidance extended beyond academics, assisting me in chart

Dear Reader!!  In the midst of academic turbulence, I was fortunate enough to cross paths with a seasoned mentor (Maheswari Mam) , someone whose passion for the subject matter was only surpassed by their commitment to nurturing students. Since my schooling, I have been a bright student and have always dreamt big but there was a sudden decline in my academic career in 12th std. I was admitted late to the college about a month due to me being hospitalized and so I could not attend classes during covid period.  I was not able to focus on my studies and started to lose my temper everytime. During that phase I was diagnosed with epilepsy. When I entered college (VIT Chennai) I was not very sure that how things would fall into place but it first started off with ma'am as she helped me to first take up my exams despite being on very low academic requirements. I did well in the first 1st and 2nd semesters of my college but after that things changed again as my illness was provoked due to s

Dear Readers!! As I sit down to pen  this testimonial, memories of the past four years flood my mind. It feels like just yesterday when I stepped into VIT as a freshman in the BTech CSE program, unsure and tentative.  And there Maheswari Mam was, not just as a proctor but as a beacon of guidance and support. I remember the times I faltered in my projects. Instead of losing patience, she saw those moments as opportunities for learning and guiding me toward the right path. Her calm demeanor and encouraging words helped me see past my mistakes and grow. This wasn't just about academics; it was a lesson in resilience, something I'll carry with me always. One of the most defining moments of my undergraduate years was my second year, filled with the zeal to upskill. I was almost set on a particular online course, thinking it was the best step forward. But a simple conversation with her changed everything.  She listened, pondered, and then gently pointed out the shortcomings in my ch

Dear Reader!! The first time I crossed paths with ma'am was during the COVID lockdown in between all the fear and uncertainty Maheswari mam remained a beacon of clear communication. My peers dreaded going to their HOD’s cabin they saw as a punishment, but I looked forward to being greeted by her warm smile. In my second semester, I had a misunderstanding with a course faculty; Maheswari ma'am took it upon herself to ensure that the matter didn't escalate further and brought to it an amicable settlement. We had a COVID lockdown on campus where we were confined to the hostel ma'am was the only HOD to ask if we needed something be it essentials like clothes or snacks she'd also patiently answer every query even if it was the same question from a different person. She was also very encouraging of my extracurricular activities and I owe every award I've won to her backing me. Aaditya Kannan 2021-2025 Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai

Dear Reader!!   Dr. Maheswari ma'am was more than a HoD; she's been my guide, especially during my internship. Maheswari ma'am's impact goes beyond textbooks. In the midst of real-world challenges during my internship, she wasn't just a mentor; she was there, connecting me with experts to untangle problems.  Her proactive approach showcased a caring attitude that made learning practical and meaningful. Her mentorship is like a supportive thread, weaving encouragement and genuine care. It's not just about completing tasks; it's about understanding the essence of the work for personal and professional growth. Expressing my gratitude goes beyond the internship—it's about the person who made it more than a job . In short, Maheswari ma'am's mentorship is a game-changer. I'm not just thankful for the internship;  I'm eternally grateful for the guidance that lit up my journey, making it an honor and a holistic learning experience. Aadhithya D

Dear Reader's!! Dr. Maheswari Raja holds a special place in my heart as not just a professor but also a  mentor, guide, and source of immense inspiration  throughout my academic journey. Enrolling in her course during my second year turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. Her teaching style is unparalleled, effortlessly blending clarity with enthusiasm. Despite tackling challenging subjects like Computer Architecture and Organization and Operating Systems,  she infuses the classroom with energy and excitement, transforming what could be difficult and theoretical material into engaging learning experiences.  Her dedication to ensuring every student comprehends complex concepts, coupled with her patience in addressing even the smallest of queries, showcases her commitment to our academic growth. Moreover, her approach extends beyond the traditional classroom setting. She  fosters a positive and collaborative learning environment ,  incorporating creative activities  throug

Dear Reader's  I registered under Maheswari ma'am for CAO (Computer Architecture and Organization) .  CAO is actually a very tough subject but I didn't really feel that way because of how ma'am had structured the flow of the subject.  During online classes she would clearly explain every concept using just the mouse and the ppt, despite how difficult it is to write with a mouse on screen. A lot of times some of us would be stuck at the basics. Ma'am would still take time to revisit those concepts and make it clear to us by the end of the day.  She made use of online tools and other videos as well to enhance our understanding and perception of the subject. Apart from all of this, I was introduced to eSim - an open-source EDA tool, where I, as a CSE student could contribute towards publishing circuit designs on FOSSE's website . Ma'am had even given me an opportunity to explain about the tool during her webinar as a second year student, I'm very thankful

Dear Reader's I failed a total of 19 courses while I was pursuing bachelor’s in VIT from 2015 to ’19.  Maheswari ma’am was my proctor for the 4 years that I was at VIT . I still remember my first semester when I failed 4 out of 6 courses. It is mandated by the university that the proctors call the student's parents to discuss the results if the students fail courses.  Many professors would be angry at you and talk bad about you with your parents, but not Maheswari Ma’am. She was just disappointed that I’m wasting my talent and she told my father exactly the same. In fact she is so supportive she asked my parents not to scold me but to encourage me to concentrate on studies. Luckily I have supportive parents as well. She has the ability to see raw potential in a student and she encourages them to use it. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. I have caused her numerous problems, once I messed up so bad that she had to apologize to university vice chancellor for my mess-up on my beh

Dear Mam But if I start to write about you then I have to write about your motivation for about 23 years mam.... since you are the best teacher for me who helped a lot regarding my studies.  I do remember always your kind of motivation and encouragement to uplift my skills.  Your guidance has supported in improving my communication skills. Mam, I always tried many times to write  the letter S as like you... but I can't... since it is your uniqueness.  During my second year of my B.E course, I struggled to learn Engineering subjects. But you have consistently motivated me with positive words to learn the subjects.  I would like to say proudly that your way of teaching and support  made me to enrich my technical skills. Thank you for always being so understanding and kind to all of us. In the world we live in, transitioning into this remote world was not easy but you have been a great professor.  I have learned a lot from you mam. However, I wanted to make sure that you are a great p

Maheswari mam is not just a teacher but she is like a mother who supports you unconditionally. I vividly recall when I was stuck in finding a solution in my previous internship, I consulted mam about this and she quickly arranged a meeting with a faculty with expertise on the area, thus solving my problem.  Her advice is of immense value.  I am eternally grateful for their guidance and the lasting impact they have made on my career.
