Suresh Kanna : Mahe's Cosmos Champion @2018

“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning." - Brad Henry

I have known Dr. Maheswari ma’am since 2018 and had a great bond with her. She's more than a teacher to me, she's been a mentor, a friend, and at times, even a second mom.

From my very first class, I became a big fan of the way you taught.

Your approach to explaining complex concepts and the warmth you infused into our classroom learning has been fun, fantastic and memorable.

In the CAO/DLM course, while many teachers in college use modern teaching tools like a projector and smart board. In most of the CAO/DLM classes, ma’am stood out by teaching with the classic blackboard and chalk style and ink pen for paper corrections, a nostalgic touch that made the learning experience uniquely memorable.

I do remember I struggled with low scores in CAT assessment, but with your guidance and revisions, I not only improved but exceed my own expectations in the next assessments.

Throughout college, the Industrial Visit in the DLM course remains a favorite memory, filled with both fun and valuable lessons. Even after completing the course, we continued to meet in the corridors, sharing smiles and stories and you always greeted me with a smile ma’am.

After 2 years of COVID, college reopened with happy reunions, We all had to wear masks and follow safety rules as per the college's COVID protocol. On the first day back, I met you ma'am. Even though I had a mask on, you recognized me and my friend from a distance. said hello dear and asked how we were doing.

It's cool and should be appreciated that, even if some classmates forget our names, you always remembers and greets us warmly.

During placement time, your insights and guidance were valuable. When I shared that I began my freelancing journey, you expressed genuine happiness and provided valuable inputs.

You even connected me with senior contacts and, showing your continuous support. You are not only been my favorite teacher but has also handled classes for my friends, remaining their favorite as well.

Serving as the Head of the Department for my friends and you have addressed students' grievance, which is something that is appreciated ma’am. Your presence in the college will be missed, ma’am. Thank you for your impactful teaching and the influence you've had on us. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors. Each time I step into VIT, our paths cross, Ma'am. On my next college visit, your office will be filled with new faces.

As I venture into new chapters, I know that you will always be the guiding force, not just as a teacher but as a cherished mentor and friend. Thank you for being an inspiration and a constant source of support.

I would like to include a famous poetry from tamil, எழுத்தறிவித்தவன் இறைவன் ஆவான்("The one who imparts knowledge is like God")

It means that someone who teaches others and shares their wisdom is highly respected, just like God, and I believe that teachers are the gift from god and you have been guardian angel for students
